My mortgage lender has misposted several of my mortgage payments over the past six months, crediting the payment to escrow instead of to principal and interest. I have contacted them at least 5 times to correct the error, yet they still show me as being in arrears in my payments despite assurances by their customer services personnel that the misposting will be corrected. Now they have reported me delinquent to the credit bureaus and my credit rating has dropped by - points or more.
