I contacted - - through Citibank to help me with the process of procuring a loan for a home in Indiana. From the very start, I alerted him that business losses from - for - were deducted against my primary and - income, however I had sold - and therefore it would n't be a loss any longer. - stated that since the - was sold, then the losses would n't be taken into account for the purpose of determining future ability to pay. After paying in excess of $ - on origination fees, inspections, and travel, - alerted me three weeks after I signed a purchase agreement that the underwriter would not offer me a loan due to my - losses on the previous tax returns. When I asked - why he told me otherwise, and why I wasted so much time for this result, he stated that he does n't review the tax returns, and held no responsibility. The amount of effort and money I spent for something that could have been avoided from the very beginning with a more knowledgeable agent is heartbreaking and disappointing.
