I made - balance transfers to my Elan credit card of $300.00 each from my - and - cards. Their system sent - transfers of $300.00 to - and - transfers of $300.00 to - for a total of - balance transfers which gave me account credits on both cards since I owed less than $600.00 on each. When I called and asked them to correct the problem, or refund the additional $11.00 for each extra balance transfer they informed me they do not negotiate balance transfer fees, insisted that I had made the error, and told me the only way to reverse the charges is to have my other cards return the balance transfer. I called - to ask for - of the transfers to be returned, and they informed me that it is not possible because it came through a credit processing company, not as a charge. I would have to pay 2.5 % for - to send the transfer back as a balance transfer. - also told me that since is it is a balance transfer, which do not have the same rights as purchases, that I can not dispute the charge nor can they return it. Both - and - told me the only way to reverse the charge is for Elan to do it.
