Incorrect information on credit report Account status California
Citi Card opened a Costco credit card without my consent. This was the result of an open Costo - - being rolled over. After opening a card without my permission, I was automatically charged a $55.00 Costo membership fee - this charge was never automatically applied on Costco - -. Because I had no idea this account was ever opened, my balance went unreported ( no paper bill or electronic notification ) I received my first paper bill of $140.00 on - - after the account had incurred financing and late fees. After an hour on the phone closing each of my Citi card accounts, I received an email notice of collection of $1.00 on my Citi Costco. The card was closed, the account was current but somehow there is a collection for $1.00? Unacceptable.
