Citibank made a public offer -/-/2016 follows : " Open a new account in The Citibank Account Package and earn $400.00 with a qualifying deposit. '' Conditions were set as follows : " 1. Open a new checking acct between -/-/2016 - -/-/2016 ; 2. Make a qualifying $15000.00 deposit within 30 days after opening the account ; and 3.Maintain a minimum balance of $15000.00 for 30 consecutive calendar days after the initial $15000.00 deposit. The cash bonus will be credited to your new checking account within 90 calendar days from the date you completed all offer requirements. '' I opened a new checking account on -/-/2016 with Citibank and made the initial $15000.00 deposit by -/-/2016. The end of the required 30 days was completed -/-/2016. My account is still open as of today -/-/2016 with a balance of $10000.00. The required 90 days waiting period was completed -/-/2016 but the promised $400.00 bonus has not been deposited in the account as of -/-/2016.
By opening my account and fulfilling the requirements for the bonus I have earned the $400.00 bonus as per the rules agreed between Citibank and I. Citibank should not be allowed to change the rules ( the additional 60 days ) after a contract was established between the 2 parties. I am asking for the immediate payment of the $400.00 and for a penalty of an equal amount on Citibank for defrauding on a contract with a Consumer.
