Citibank Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Virginia
COSTCO and - - entered into an arrangement that promoted - - credit cards and COSTCO membership. I agreed to obtain an - - card and a COSTCO membership pursuant to this agreement. For reasons known to - - and COSTCO, they terminated this agreement with terminated my - - card. COSTCO sought to recreate this arrangement with -, a different credit card company ( issued by CitiBank ). To promote this new agreement, - sent me a credit card which I immediately destroyed and never validated. Notwithstanding my refusal to enter into an agreement with -, COSTCO charged a new membership ( that I had not authorized ) to the Visa card that I had destroyed. I had decided that I would not renew my existing membership with COSTCO and I refused the Visa card. Nevertheless, COSTCO charged to the - credit card I had not authorized a new membership with COSTCO that I had not authorized. When I objected to this, - told me that I must speak with COSTCO about this, rather than considering this to be a fraudulent charge that I had not authorized to a credit card I had not authorized.
