We bought a sofa and chair with their protection policy -/-/- at JC Penneys and put it on my Penney 's credit card since it was three years interest free. We then order a recliner from them to match -/-/- and was told it was one year interest free. I was concerned and the saleslady said they applied your payment to the first promotional balance first. This summer we noticed that our bill, which I had been making online payments to get rid of was almost right back where it began. I called and they explained that the chair had acrued interest because it was n't paid off by -/-/-. We called and messaged JC Penneys trying to resolve the issue and then noticed even when we were making monthly payments they were charging late fees. For example, I paid two payments for -/-/- to avoid any fees, etc. I noticed that we received a late fee and interest today. I called and the lady explained that I paid too soon but saw I made two payments for more than the minimun so she reversed both the interest and late fee. I then told her I noticed that this issue on past bills. She was going to open a case to see if they could look into the promotional balance issue. I have been going around and around with J C Penneys. So our furniture will now cost us more than double. Can you tell us if there is anything we can do to resolve this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
