Dear CFPB, For the past year we have attempted to obtain a - without success. Due to an attempted identity theft, our - credit reports were frozen. - uses - for the - processing. At their ( - - request I temporarily lifted the Experian freeze via the Experian website and re-applied for the card. Approximately 4 times during 2016 I lifted the freeze temporarily, applied for the card, and was denied. Each time the reason was that the Experian freeze was not lifted. All attempts to call Experian and speak to a person were unsuccessful. Experian seems to be excellent at avoiding direct customer contact by phone. -/-/2016, I requested Experian to permanently remove the security freeze on my account. The Experian confirmation letter is attached. -/-/2016 after receiving confirmation of the freeze removal, we re-applied for the - and were again denied. The denial letter from - is attached. The reason again is that the Experian freeze has not been lifted. Please contact Experian and / or - on my behalf and attempt to resolve this. The problem seems to be with Experian not lifting the freeze.
