I had a checking account with US Bank that I requested to be closed in -. It was never done and they continued to charge me fees. Then they forced the account closed in - with an outstanding balance for -. I have been making payments to the collection agency on that balance since as I was unable to get US Bank to waive any of those fees. There is a payment plan in place. The account is closed and I 'm paying fees for them forcing the account closed. Then in - there was a refund issued to that closed account of - ( not sure where the refund came from ), US Bank then reopened my account for the - and sent me a deposit statement. Then US Bank charged me - for that paper statement, making the account negative. SO they reopened the account that was closed and charged me to close the account in the first place, - in fees, which I have been paying. Then charged me - to send me a paper statement, on a closed account that I 'm paying the collection agency for. I have written them several letters regarding this and they continue to send me a statement each month showing a negative balance. I closed this account, they never closed on their end and say they do n't see my request. Then charged NSF fees, monthly service fees and eventually closed the account, charging fees for that too. When I finally received the letter that the account was closed back in - 2016 ( 5 months after I asked them to close the account ) they said I owed - in fees. I set up a payment arrangement with the collection agency and have been paying. I wrote them many times over several months disputing the charges and the account balance, to no avail. So now months later they took it upon themselves to reopen this account and again start charging me fees.
