Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low California
I placed an order for $310.00 with - -. They posted double that amount for authorization. An additional $310.00 worth of my funds were held that I could not have access to. When I called the bank they refused to get on a conference call with the manager at - and I to resolve this, and the manager at - refused to admit that they had requested double authorizations. They both said the amounts would " fall off '' in a couple of days. When I told both US Bank and - that I had checks that might be coming through they both said they would do nothing to help. US Bank said they would charge me insufficient funds fees if anything bounced as a result of this mistake. I spoke a supervisor named -. He acknowledged that - authorizations were incorrectly applied, but because of US Bank 's policies, he could not help. He also said that if I was charged NSF fees it would " at the bank 's discretion '' as to whether or not they would reverse those fees due to a merchant error.
