Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Illinois

US Bank charged me an overdraft fee of $36.00 because I did n't have money to cover the monthly account fee of $6.00. My account was already negative by a few cents - $.00 when the monthly fee was charged. Once the monthly fee was charged on the account, the balance was - $7.00 and therefore us bank charged a fee of $36.00. It is not fair the bank is charging me overdraft fees because I did n't have the money to cover their monthly fees. And besides the $36.00 for a charge of $6.00 is outrageous. I would appreciate if you can help out US bank customers. This is not the first time they charge me a fee of $36.00 for going negative for less than $10.00. Other banks at least have tiers that would not charge an fee that is 4 times the negative amount.
