Discover Credit card department,
myself and discover credit services had an agreement that I would pay $76.00 a month till my account was paid down. This amount was automatically withdrawn from my account each month excluding one error on Discover Banks side. I cancelled two payments with Discover for the $76.00 because the amount had already been paid prior to the due date this last month/ end of -. Early - I paid off my account. I then go to check my account and I see that my statement this month I have $76.00 in fees. I was charged a late payment fee and a returned check fee for a cancelled payment. that was never supposed to post. Both confusing to me I contacted Discover and they list no explanation. The worst part of this is I spoke with Discover last week when making payments and they told me I would have no issues. Now I get a $37.00 fee for not making my full minimum due even though I paid above the agreed amount. In fact I was less than $25.00 short of the minimum payment and no one ever mentioned I needed to pay the final amount or I would be charged a fee. In fact I stayed on the phone for an extended span of time so I would n't be charged a fee.
