Equifax Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Account status Minnesota
In -/-/2011 I had a Synchronicity Bank / -. I had used the card and been making payments on auto-pay from my checking account monthly. Suddenly for no reason that Sync Bank could explain, they began reporting my account as delinquent. They failed to inform me in any fashion that I had late payments ( according to them ) on the account. I contacted them and was alarmed to find out that they had been reporting that I was late on payments ( again, from checking auto-pay ). I immediately paid off the card. The bank asked if I would like to keep the account open and I informed them no since they had made such a mess of things. They informed me that they would close the account as I had requested. 4 years later, I had my credit pulled for financing and was informed that I was being declined for financing because Synchronicity Bank - - had reported the account to all three credit bureaus as a " Charge-Off '' that was transferred to another lender ( which is false as I had paid it off directly to the bank and had requested the account to be closed ). I contacted Synchronicity Bank / - by telephone and requested information about the situation. They informed me that they had no information on what had happened, but that what they reported was correct. I disputed the erroneous information with Equifax. The disputes came back as verified from Synchronicity Bank / -. This incorrect and false information is costing me lending opportunities and is causing me undue hardship. I find the company failing to provide me with information on the issue unconscionable and believe it to be done with malice and as a violation of my rights. I appreciate your help in getting this incorrect information deleted from my credit report and removing this undue hardship that their negligent actions have caused me.
