Issues : disclosure verification of debt + improper communication tactics. I spoke with -, a contact center manager for this collection agency. I identified myself as the best contact person to communicate with on this matter. I clearly expressed my desire to pay this debt in full asap as long as the charges were valid. I gave them my mobile and work phone numbers. We hung up with the expectation that I would receive a verification of debt package by mail from them shortly. This would have given me an opportunity o review the validity of the charges. Till this day, I have not received this package. In the meantime, I found out they had been trying to contact my roommate ( despite our mutual agreement that I would be the sole point of contact for this matter ). Last but not least, their contact center representatives consistently try to engage in confrontations and arguments over the phone instead of focusing on duly resolving the matter. I am under the impression they are purposely trying to prevent me from reviewing these charges so that once the legal time-frame has passed, they will be able to threaten me with putting those unverified charges on my credit report. Please help!
