Unsolicited issuance of credit card North Carolina

I went into Kay Jewelers to make a purchase and resize a ring and while there, I was asked if I wanted to open a line of credit/credit card. Multiple times I said no, but they gave me lots of information and confused me and at one point, they said I had to give them my social security number. When I questioned them as to why they needed it, they just repeated to me that they needed it. I did n't know why they needed it and I was confused. I went back the next day with my daughter to cancel the purchase and repair, get my jewelry and money back they said that they needed my social security number to open a credit card. I again told them that I said multiple times, NO I did n't want that, but the manager said that I must have agreed.
