Citibank Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account New Hampshire
I asked Citibank to cancel an account that had a $95.00 annual fee that I was not using. They said if I wanted they could give me a $95.00 statement credit that would be applied against future purchases. When I called a month later to see where that credit was on my statement they said I had to make the purchases first. I did on -/-/2016, I then received the next statement- no statement credit was found. I called and was informed I had until -/-/2016 to make the purchases. I was never told that! They said they could not do anything and now I am paying interest on those purchases in addition to having a annual fee that I wanted to get rid of in the first place. It is complete fraudulence on their part.
