The company that is responsible for providing my credit report can not verify my identity when I try to use their online service to request a credit report. After entering my information this message comes up 'We 're sorry, for your protection we are unable to deliver your Equifax Free Annual Credit Report online. ' If I can not get through their system, how reliable is the information they hold about me and provide other organizations who may be running enquiries about my credit? How do I know enquiries on my name are actually about me if they ca n't event get my identity right? The only option to get a free credit report is to mail them personal information to a -. This looks like a sure plan for identity fraud. Fortunately, I have some time on my hands so I will be taking it further with all the relevant federal and state agencies.
