I have been a Chase - preferred customer since -. In the middle of -, - I became aware of the new Chase - reserve card. I simultaneously closed my - preferred card account and opened my - reserve card account. At the time I believed that my accumulated points, worth close to $2000.00, would be rolled-over from - account to the next. Recently ( -/-/- ) I received a notification that this is not the case and I will lose the - $2000.00 in cash value. I find this extremely disturbing because : 1 ) it seemed intuitively obvious that I would want the points rolled over and 2 ) I was not informed of the non-rollover policy at the time of closing - account and opening another. If that was the case I would have certainly requested the payment in cash. I request your assistance in having Chase rollover the point value from my old account to my new account.
