Capital One Credit card department,
To Whom This May Concern, I received a call from Kohl 's on -/-/- that I was late in making a credit card payment. I was surprised because I never received a payment statement in the mail. I was told I signed up for email statements ( which I do not recall ) and doubt I would have intentionally agreed upon. However, I receive numerous emails from Kohl 's daily and do n't even read them because they are advertisements and I could have easily deleted an email statement as I was not expecting one. I intentionally do not accept email statements because I like to have my statements delivered in the mail so I can keep records of all bills/transactions in a file. Furthermore, I also generally only use - credit card so I apparently I inadvertently forgot that I had actually used the Kohl 's card for a purchase. I paid it immediately when I got off the phone after the call. I was only contacted on that one occasion about the late payment. Looking back, I believe that I made a purchase in late - or -. However, I do not know for sure. I have requested
credit score of - before this and due to - misunderstanding my credit score is now only -. I tried to rectify the situation with Kohl 's but they will not work with me. I have had a relationship with Kohl 's since -. I am sure you can see this is not typical behavior of me and I am asking to have this incident removed from my credit report. I appreciate you looking into this situation for me. Thank you for your time!
