I opened a checking account of $100.00 on -/-/2016 and savings account of $15000.00 on -/-/2016 at Citibank in - -, California. In - instances I used a check from my personal checking account at -. - cleared the same night. My - checking account was debited by $100.00 on -/-/2016 and $15000.00 on -/-/2016, nevertheless Citibank only posted $10.00 available in each case. I called customer service and also - - branch manager - to let them know that my checks cleared and they needed to credit my Citibank accounts accordingly. Citibank placed a 5 days hold on my money. I did n't have the $15000.00 in - nor Citibank. This is plain fraud, they are profiting from this illegal hold. Please see cancelled checks paid the very same day it was written. Also see letter of explanation from Citibank. If Federal regulation require them to provide a notice if there is a delay in posting the money into an account it has to be TRUE. They ca n't tell me that the they are waiting for these items to clear because they cleared the very same day I presented the check to them.
