Closing/Cancelling account Kansas
I am trying to cancel my Citi - credit card with Citi and it is proving very difficult. I was put into a queue and waited on hold for 21 minutes. I was told that there are few account specialists available and a long queue for me to speak with -, and I am required to speak with an account specialist to close my account. I find this to be an unacceptable level of delay and difficulty in what should be a straight forward and simple task. I suspect that Citi is intentially making the process difficult in order to prevent me from cancelling, something that I have experienced in the past with other credit card companies also. Finally, someone came on the line and told me the company was having system issues and I needed to call back the next day.
