Citibank frequently offers special promotions for depositing " new to bank '' funds to new or existing accounts, holding a specified amount of the funds for a specified duration of time, then the bonus described in a promotion is to be deposited into the account. Year after year, I participate in these promotions, I always fulfill the terms of the advertised promotion, yet consistently the bonus is NOT deposited into the account automatically upon the completion of the promotional terms. I have screen images, photos and correspondence regarding this issue going back several years. I always end up getting the promised bonus after I invoke an internal investigation with the Citibank Customer Service back office. I learned after speaking with customer service and president 's office representative that Citibank does not have a system in place to automatically deposit bonuses if customers do not initiate a complaint. Supposedly these conversation with customer service are recorded, please request copies of my conversations over the years with Citibank regarding this issue. I can provide you with my written complaints to Citibank office of the President in an attempt to bring this issue to light. Nothing has been done to correct this issue
only after I initiated a complain in -. I just made another " new to bank '' deposit in -, and yet again, have - faith that Citibank has a system in place to give me my bonus on or before - -, 2017 after I meet my part of the obligation and hold $ - for 90 calendar days. I anticipated that I will initiate an investigation on - -, 2017 and receive the bonus two business days later - - what about so many other customers who do not file an investigation complaint? The bank just keeps their customer 's money for themselves. Please investigate this blatant withholding of funds and bait and switch on behalf of the Citibank customers.
