I recently wrote to US Bank regarding a reporting error on my credit card # -. I have had this card for almost 10 years and have never, ever missed a payment. I recently applied ( and was approved ) for a - card. I had not looked at my credit report for many years. They told me that in 2010 US Bank reported a late payment. I have made over 240 payments and have never, ever sent in a late payment. The sent me back a letter saying that they verified it as being correct ( see attached document ). They did not supply me with any information, any proof that it had not been paid. I was to just accept their word and that was it.


at US Bank accusing me of having several late payments. He said it was recorded so their is a record of my complaint. This is a severely flawed system. US Bank believes ( as does - - which I am a client ) that they are not responsible for any errors and that I am just supposed to take what they say at face value. They could say anything and I have no recourse. I am asking you to conduct an investigation into this type of behavior and ask what ever banking agency monitors their system to change it so that a card holder of a credit card from them. I am also asking you to inform them to delete this 30 day late payment on my credit report. My past history demonstrates that this has never happened in ove 10 years. I was never informed that my payment was late nor was I given any notice that my check was not cashed.
