I applied for a CareCredit card to pay for -. I picked up a pamphlet from my dentist 's office and applied online, with the understanding that it was a standard revolving loan. I was unaware there was a promotion wherein I would unknowingly be accruing interest to be tacked on at the end of the promotional period if the full balance of the loan was not paid off. I made payments on my loan and in - 2016, I received a bill with $ - dollars in accrued interest. Additionally, the accrued interest put my balance over my credit limit, which caused me to incur more fees. CareCredit has deceptive advertising and application processes and preys on people who are facing dental and/or health issues and need to find a way to pay for the procedures. I never received CareCredit 's required disclosures in the mail and was not provided adequate guidance regarding the loan 's terms during the application process.
