I am writing to report a problem with Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi. Citi issued the card automatically because I had a Costco membership account. However, I have not been to Costco for over two years. I called the number in the back of the card -/-/- to request the cancellation. The representative told me that she put in the request right then and I was all set. Yet I am still receiving bills and now this enclosed letter showing that my account has not been cancelled and that I owe money on the account for the yearly Costco membership fee. I never applied for the card, never used the card. I sent a letter to Citi on -/-/2016 requesting my account be closed and the outstanding balance be cancelled. I still got an email this morning from Citi telling me to pay the balance to avoid penalty fees. I am deeply disappointed in the customer service of Citibank. I hope CFPB will help me put an end to the outstanding balance of this credit card account, and that this account will be closed for good.
