I opened a account with Wells Fargo Bank on -/-/2016. I told them that I did NOT want my Social Security check transferred until I get all my automatic withdraws taken care of and then close my old account. They told me no problem and to come in when I was ready to do this. They transferred my Social Security check to my new account on -/-/2016 without my permission. On -/-/-, the date my direct deposit goes through, I was negative in my old account due to Wells Fargo switching my Social Security check direct deposit. I went into the bank and talked to the representative and the branch manager they told me that they never sent anything in and no paperwork was sent in. I told Wells Fargo that they did because I talked to Social Security office that day and they told me that it was deposited in the Wells Fargo account. I 'm now getting charged every day over draft fees. I went back to Wells Fargo to explain that I shouldnt be responsible for these charges because it was their fault. The branch manager told me that they are not responsible and can not do anything about the overdraft charges. I have contacted Corporate and the regional manager and having no luck to resolve this issue.
