Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement New Mexico
On -/-/- I was scheduled to close on a home and when the title company pulled a New Mexico public record I was informed of a judgement against me in the - judicial court of NM from Wells Fargo for a credit card opened in -/-/-. I Immediately called Wells Fargo to let them know this was not my debt and asked how can I get this resolved since I was supposed to be closing on a home and had already given notice on our current residence. Under direct pressure I asked if they would accept $1600.00 so I could close on my home and I was given a settlement of $2900.00 to have the judgement removed. This was far beyond my financial resources especially for a Fraudulant account. I immediately filed a police report. Since then I have spoken to numerous people and the attorney for wellsfargo and have had no help with this matter. We have now lost the house and have been put in a unbelievably dire situation
