On - -, 2016, I was informed that TCF National Bank had closed my checking account. This decision was made because, in the words of the branch supervisor and managers, that I forgot to send in a requested Questionnaire that would update my current information. They also claimed that that the questionnaire had nothing to do with the bank, but was requested by the " -. '' Yet the letter that accompanied the form mention nothing about a federal agency, but only TCF policy. I sought help from your agency and from the best of their knowledge they told me that they could n't find any law on file that stated that the federal government would send a questionnaire and suspend my checking account because it was not returned. Furthermore, what I find most offensive is the fact that my assets are now frozen. My funds have not been returned to me, they denied automatic transactions between my creditors, and I ca n't withdraw my money. However, they are allowing deposits into my account despite the account being officially closed. I have been misled by bank managers, been cheated out of my finances, and caused great distress over this incident.
