I mistakenly submitted a - payment online on Saturday, -/-/2016. Within an hour of doing this, I called Citibank to put a stop to this payment. They assured me that they were going to stop it since it had not been submitted to the bank and my account was not credited. Today, I found my account having been debited with the same amount. They are now telling me that they can only effect a stop payment 3 days prior to the submission of the check.
