JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
APR or interest rate Wisconsin
Several years ago I accepted a fixed rate for " life of the loan '' on a credit card issued by Washington Mutual. The rate was 3.99 % for several thousand dollars. The account was sold to JPMorgan Chase. They bumped the rate to 28.99 % for no reason. There has never been a late pay nor any derogatory action on my part. I called Chase and asked to speak to a manager. I wanted to know where it was written that if the account was sold my interest rate could change. She did n't know, neither would she help me. They could not produce a document I signed or agreed to permitting that interest change on sale of the account. I still owe about a $1000.00. years later. I was hoping your agency could help me retrieve the excess interest I have paid over the years. I was fortunate to have to money to pay, but this put many others into bankruptcy after Washington Mutual sold to Chase.
