Capital One Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Colorado
I had a Capital One card with my ex husband that I thought was closed in 2015. All of the monthly bills were not being sent to me, instead they were being sent to an address that my husband had set up. He purposely maxed out the credit cards and made no payments on them. This was by no fault of mine and had no idea that the account existed. I have made repeated attempts to go thru the fraud department with Capital One to have my name removed from the account as well as attempted to have the bureaus remove the item from my report as well. This is my last hope as it is affecting my ability to purchase a home.
