JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Advertising and marketing California
On the - - website, after I logged in as a Premier Platinum member, I got an offer on the screen asking me to apply for the Chase - Explorers card, and offering me - bonus miles AND a $50.00 statement credit after my first purchase. I took a screenshot at that moment on -/-/16 of the offer ( which you can see in my image was to expire the next day ). I then filled out the application. I got an email confirming my application ( dated -/-/- too ). I was later approved and got the card. After having it for some weeks and using it, I sent email to Chase asking when I would get the $50.00 credit. They replied that they would not give me the credit because I did not apply " the right way '' on the - site. I applied the only way offered, by clicking on the big button that is clearly visible in one of my screenshots. No error message followed, I got to the application and answered all their questions. I tried multiple times to get Chase to resolve this, and they refuse. They DO admit that I am owed the - miles, which is stated on the screenshot offer too, and which was only offered to me once I logged into the - site as Platinum member ( the standard offer on the general - site was - miles ). So they must admit that I applied through this offer, but refuse to give me the other marketed offer, the $50.00. They are simply refusing to honor their offer, fulfilled on my end exactly as directed on the website.
