JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Advertising and marketing Texas
On - -, 2016 I received text notification from - that a new credit account was issued. I contacted them and was told it was issued by CHASE bank. I asked who initiated it and response I got was : " Do you purchase items online from -? ". They did not claim that - initiated issuing the card and gave me the fraud contact number of CHASE bank. HOWEVER, WHOM EVER INITIATED IT SEEMED TO HAVE MY COMPLETE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I called the CHASE fraud number and after some discussion they informed me that a new card had been issued ending in -, and it was mailed the day before. ( I RECEIVE JUNK MAIL SOLICITATIONS FROM CHASE ALMOST WEEKLY-with my name and address pre-printed on their appliction form, and shred that part before putting the rest in the recycle bin! ). The CHASE representative closed the account and instructed me to destroy the card when received.
CHASE info on the back.To activate the card I even have to visit chase.com/verifycard or call -. The documents enclosed in the kit included two pages with the amazon.com logo. One letter begins : " Your Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card has arrived. '' That one gives the account number, ending in -, THE CREDIT LINE : $6500.00 ; and the CASH ACCESS AMOUNT OF $1300.00! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS. Amazon says they did not ... check with CHASE Bank. CHASE Bank did not deny any of it but did cancel the card. NOTE : Letter with amazon.com and CHASE ( with logo ) was from - -, Executive Vice President, Chase Card Services. IS THIS A PART OF CHASE BANK?
