Closing/Cancelling account California
Chase Cardmember services notified me by a letter dated -/-/2016 that my Chase Amazon.com Rewards Visa account would close when my card expires -/-/2016. I have excellent credit and have a - balance on the card. I have not used the card for years, however, that should not be a valid reason for closing an account due to the negative impact it will have on my credit score. I spoke with a supervisor at Chase and they declined my request to keep the account open.
