I filed a dispute with Chase - about a contractor who did not and would not complete work that I paid him for. After filing the dispute, with photographic evidence, detailed descriptions of work not completed, letters from the subcontractors who were working on the job confirming the work was not done and invoices from other contractors we had to hire to complete the work, Chase - still sided with the merchant on the matter. Chase sited that the merchant, with NO EVIDENCE, stated that they completed the work and I was satisfied with it, that is it. that is all they had to say to win the dispute. Needless to say, if this is the way Chase backs their customers, NO ONE should do business with Chase, ever. It is pretty much a CC with no protections for their consumers and customers.
