in - - tcf bank started on a totally free checking acct charging a dormant fee of - $ per mo.when i opened the acct in -/-/- i was told totally free checking unless i went negative of corse, stopped using the acct in -/-/- regularly.watched my statements monthly on line for about a year and all normal, was traveling the past year and thought nothing of this acct and figured in the future when getting back would surely use it again,- $ was in acct and had n't changed in a year when i left, on -/-/- i got a statement email, opened online and saw - $ a month since - - had been being feed, i called customer service and the agent - id # - said she was the supervisor and could only give back half - $ and sorry but it is all she could do
