Amex Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Arizona
On - -, I noticed several large charges authorized on my Amex account ( on my mobile app ) from a merchant I had never heard of. I immediately called American Express to report the Fraud. Several calls and several broken promises later, no one can tell me the status of these fraud cases, no one can tell me when credits will be issued, they 've been unable or unwilling to stop this merchant from charging me and they 've sent my replacement card to my former address, despite my giving them my new address several times. While I 've been assured that I wo n't be financially liable for the fraud, they refuse to put that in writing. Likewise, it appears criminal ( s ) have - account numbers that they continue to charge while a replacement card is now floating around in Minnesota while I 'm Arizona. I 'm feeling very exposed to further financial damages, identity theft, and am not able to use the account I 've been using for my day-to-day expenses for several years.
