My wife and I submitted paperwork to have an Short Sale/Cash for Keys done. We received a letter dated - -, 2016 from Flagstar stating it was complete. Just this weekend we found out the Property was in Foreclosure Sale and that it closed on -/-/16. This as a shock to us since we have only been getting payment notices since we received the letter in - - indicating the short sale/cash for keys paperwork had been received and further notification would occur before anything happened with the house/property. We have never received any documentation confirming a Foreclosure. Billing statements are all we have received and as recent as the -/-/16 payment. The only reason we were aware of the Foreclosure is a - estimate we received on Friday -/-/16 stating the property was not for sale it was Foreclosed.
