Deposited - payroll checks, totaling over $2800.00. The teller told me the funds would be available the next business day. Funds are still not available 1 week later despite numerous calls and visits to the bank. At each call and visit, I was told the funds would clear the next day. At the last call three days ago, I was informed that the check would be held for 6 days at maximum. It is now 7 business days in and I have no anser as to when funds will clear. The bank is posting electronic bill payments and calculating a minus balance with imposed late fees despite pending checks. I would like to close account but the bank has refused because the balance is " minus '' despite the $2800.00 deposit that has not yet cleared.
