JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account Washington
I am - - military currently -. I - in - and as of - am still -. In - Chase says they sent a letter saying I needed to contact them or they would close the account for non-use. In -, they closed the account. I only discovered this when my credit monitoring service notified me that a change had happened to my credit profile. I tried contacting Chase and explaining that I was on military - and did not receive the letter nor have any opportunity to respond to it in the time allotted and requested that the account be reinstated but they refused to discuss the account with me and continued to put me on hold, presumably to transfer me to somebody who could help, and then disconnect the call. I have been a customer with Chase for more than 10 years and have never missed a single payment. I also have - other credit cards with Chase as well as a home mortgage. I have never had a late or missed payment, and my credit report has a perfect history, so there is no valid reason why they closed my account. Any lack of use recently has only been due to frequent -. I even asked specifically to speak to the " Military '' department of Chase, who is supposed to specialize in helping service members, and I was gain put on hold and then disconnected, never being permitted to speak to anybody.
