There is more than - company collecting payment on this debt and they can not verify where the payments have been applied. When I researched into who was in possession of my account, it seems as though that the account is held by multiple parties, including - -, Synchrony and - -. I tried to pay Synchrony bank directly by sending them a check to their - - as directed. On -/-/16, the check ( which was made out to Synchrony bank with my - - - account number ) was cashed by -. I called -, and spoke to a representative - who said that - - has no record of my account or my name. I also called Synchrony Bank who claims that they are soley in possession of my account but informed that the funds were not applied to my - - - account and they had no record of the check that I had sent directly to their address. I then had to call my bank - to dispute the check as I had not made it out to - - but it was cashed by this bank and was not applied to any of my accounts. Furthermore, Synchrony Bank refused to provide statements or receipt of payment for this account.
