Initiated a mortgage application on - -, 2016 With Bank of America. Learned there was a problem on - -. Was verbally denied on - -. Selling realtor complained and asked that my case be escalated on - -. I agreed. Told I would not be charged for the appraisal. - - was told by a manager that my case would be reviewed and I would have an answer by COB - - or morning of - -. No answer either day. On -/-/-, I asked if my mortgage had been accepted or denied. Again, verbally denied, but nothing in writing. This has precluded me from pursuing a superior lender. Horrible experience that wasted my time. I should have been denied up front, not weeks into the process.
