Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Need information about my balance/terms Washington
In a letter dated -/-/-, - -, Loan Adjuster, Recovery Department, Wells Fargo Education Financial Services, agreed to accept my payments of $350.00 per month to satisfy - private student loans that were in default. I 've attached a copy of that letter. Since then, in accordance with that agreement, I have paid $350.00 every month, mailed to the address specified in that agreement. Although I have made every payment under that agreement ( until this month ), I have never received any statements or other information from Wells Fargo to tell me how my payments were applied and whether the balance is being reduced. Wells Fargo accepted my agreement. My payments within this agreement should have brought me current and should have cured any default. Instead, I recently discovered that the loans were " charged off '' -/-/2016. This charge-off is severly damaging my credit rating. I believe I have been deceived and that Wells Fargo has breached our agreement. I have been making good-faith payments, but now I 'm not sure if they 're going to the correct entity or if they 're being honestly or accurately applied.
