In - of 2016 both my - and Bank of America checking accounts was charged for by the - - - - Office for a legal judgement that I owed. Since - accounts were debited at the same time I was overcharged for the debt. I called the - - - Office to complain that more money was taken than what was owed. The - Office told me that they had to wait for - checks to be mailed to the - - Office and then I would be issued a refund for the over-payment. When I called to check on the status the - Office informed me that Bank of America had not sent in the check they collected. I when I spoke to Bank of America they claimed the check had been sent in - so I called the - Office again and they told me that Bank of America only has 15 days by law to send in the check to their office and they had still not received it. I have called Bank of America several times since - and each time I call I 'm told that they will cancel the check and reissue another check but it will take three months. However each time I have called no action has been taken and the representatives argues with me and gives me the sames scripted response that the - Office needs to take action. The - Office has been very clear about the laws and what Bank of America is supposed to do. Furthermore Bank of America is actually the company that the judgement was for so obvious that are fully aware that the judgement has been overpaid. Bank of America owes me $1400.00 which they have kept in limbo since - and we are now headed into -. Please have Bank of America release my money or I will have to file a lawsuit.
