Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Florida
I leased a - - - from Ally Auto. At the end of the lease, I opted for the buyout option. At Ally 's direction, I secured financing and sent payment to them for the buyout amount, they deposited the funds. A couple weeks later they called me and advised they made an error and illegally sold me the - as they are not licensed in the State of Florida to sell cars and they would have to reverse the transaction. They sent the funds back to my credit union. Afterwards they instructed me to take the vehicle to a local dealer in Florida. At the dealership, we decided to lease a newer vehicle as opposed to buying the - and turned it in on - -, -. I then received a letter from Ally advising they were charging me $270.00 for lease extension fees because the vehicle was not turned in prior to -/-/-. I detrimentally relied on the information they gave me concerning the buyout. Had they provided me the correct info from the beginning, I would not have turned the vehicle in late and therefore would not have incurred the charges.
