Amex Credit Card Complaint

Advertising and marketing

Amex Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing Alaska

After submitting a complaint Amex ( or their computer ) sent what appears to be an automated response to my complaint that did not even address the specific issues I raised. Please review and respond to the following specific issues : Amex solicited me with an offer using their data base. Before activating the card, I asked the agent to confirm the terms and conditions of the offer ; specifically if I was eligible. I was told I was eligible and I have a recording of the call. I fulfilled the terms and conditions yet Amex denied the benefit. Amex has the data base, they knew or should have known that they had no intention of honoring their solicitation. Amex should not have sent the solicitation and their agent should not have told me I was eligible. Therefore, Amex should honor their offer of - points. The Amex response reads like a form letter that completely ignores these salient facts. Lastly, I formally request Amex provide information regarding initiating arbitration/mediation of this matter as per the cardholder agreement. Respectfully, - -
