In - 2016, I opened a credit account with Jared The Galleria of Jewelry. I went to the store on - - in - MI. The card is through Sterling Jewelers. I was told by the associates who helped - there were - different employees assisting me that day - that if I opened the account it would have 0 % APR for the first 12 months. So, I purchased my engagement ring and - wedding bands with service plans for about $2000.00. My first statement had no interest charges. However, my -/-/- and -/-/- statements applied a 24.99 % APR. I called the phone number on my statement and was told that customers have to make a - % down payment to get the 0 % APR for 12 months. However, this was never told to me in the store when they sold me the credit account and jewelry.
account or purchased anything from them if that was the case. Their return policy is only 30 days so I ca n't even return the jewelry anymore. I feel like a bait and switch was used to con me into something I now can not get out of. I feel that employees should be responsible for the information they provide to customers, before they are trapped into an account they ca n't get out of. I 'm paying about $45.00 a month in interest for something I was told would be interest free. I want the interest already charged to be waived and for the account to have 0 % APR for 12 months like I was told it would when they asked me to apply.
