JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit Card Complaint

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing Wisconsin

This is regarding online purchase of a product from Amazon, USA. I am prime member of Amazon and I was planning to buy an - for self and proceeding to check out. When I added the item to the cart, - website prompted me with a offer to Apply for a credit card to get instant - $ discount upon approval. System showed me the details Product price is $240.00, after approval I would be eligible for $70.00 discount immediately and final amount I would have to pay is $170.00. I found the deal interesting assuming that I would get an instant approval or rejected option and purchase the item.

When I submitted the application, to my surprise I got a message that my application would be reviewed and the status would be notified within 30 days. I think this is clear case of misleading the customers. Website says instant discount upon approval. So any normal mind person would think the status would be notified immediately. If it has to take 30 days then why would someone wait for 30 days to purchase a product. Hence I wanted to cancel my application. I made multiple calls to amazon customer care and spoke with - ( team lead ), -, - and - ( Lead ). They were helpless and connected me to -. - executives asked to contact Chase Bank. Chase Bank executive ( - ) said she is helpless. My application is still in pending status and ca n't be canceled. She asked to circle back and contact Amazon customer care to get a clarity on such discount information displayed on their website. Since 1 hour I am struggling with everyone to get my application canceled. I do n't want my credit card get approved as I ca n't take benefit of the deal after 30 days. I believe this a clear misleading information to encourage customer to apply for credit card and once it 's submitted, customer does not get any benefit since card goes for an approval process which may get delayed by 30 days. I request you to please help and get my application canceled and also please ensure such misleading information is controlled.
