I was solicited by American Express to open a credit card. The offer promised - - - points in compensation for spending - dollars on the card in 3 months. When I received the card, I called the activation number and confirmed the terms and conditions.Amex solicited me, I was told I was eligible, and fulfilled the terms and conditions. The points were not awarded to my account. I contacted Amex, they claimed I was not eligible because " I had a similar offer in the past ''. Amex solicited me. I acted in good faith and confirmed the offer. I fulfilled the terms and conditions. Obviously, Amex has a data base an knew or should have known if I was eligible. I contend that I should be awarded the points.
