This is my daughters student loan that I co-signed 10 years ago. - of us forgot this and when she quite paying, Navient started calling me. I have called them and proposed a payoff amount to - -, Senior Collections Mgr. at -. I have worked out the payoff deal with my credit card and it is a time sensitive offer which I have relayed in the several voicemails that I have left for - -. I have received no response. I have left another voicemail today requesting that she call me back and simply let me know she is working on this. Late this afternoon I received another collection email. There is no email address to respond to letting them know that I have been in contact with - -. I am asking for a response so that my daughter and I can move on. This loan started at $5600.00 10 years ago and because my daughter could not afford to pay more than the 10 % interest payments, the loan is now at an astounding $8600.00. She was too embarrassed to tell me this. I do n't want to accrue any more interest on this loan. I originally asked them to lower the interest rate and I would make the payments to them. - - - told me she had the power to do that but would not. That is why I am contacting her boss - -.
